Privacy
Last updated 17 October 2026. Browsing the directory collects nothing about you beyond the technical logs every web server keeps. The only place you hand us personal data is the enquiry form, so most of this page is about that.
Who is responsible
OmniLearnConsultingCommerce LLC, 447 Broadway, 2nd Floor, Suite 3259, New York, NY 10013, United States, is the data controller. Contact: privacy@thekennelguide.co.uk.
We are based outside the UK and process your data outside it. Transfers rely on the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.
Enquiries
When you send an enquiry we record your name, email address, phone number if you give it, the date you need help if you give it, your message, the page you sent it from, and your IP address shortened before it is stored (the last block of an IPv4 address set to zero, only the first half of an IPv6 address kept). The shortened IP helps us spot automated spam.
The enquiry is stored in the site’s database and emailed to us, and you get a copy. If we hold an email address for the business you contacted, it goes to that business too, so it can reply to you. From then on the business handles your details as its own controller.
Legal basis: doing what you asked when you pressed send, and our legitimate interest in keeping spam out. We keep enquiries for 24 months, or delete them sooner if you ask.
Server logs
Our host records IP addresses, pages requested and browser type in its access logs, to keep the site running and secure. The host keeps those logs for a short period and we don’t use them to identify anyone.
Cookies and measurement
The site sets no advertising or measurement cookies. If we add audience measurement (Google Analytics) later, it will only load after you agree to it, and this page will be updated first.
Business listings
Listings contain business details made public by the businesses themselves. Where a business seems to work from a private home, as walkers and sitters often do, we show only the postcode district. A business owner can ask for any detail to be corrected or removed.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete what we hold about you, object to its use, or ask for a copy. Write to the address above and we reply within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
